What an amazing place, Duwan! It sounds like such great energy and genuine care for each other. Something we need more of these days. Thank you for sharing!
I used to wonder why we left. But luckily Cabbagetown is always there when we go back. I've been pet sitting in Cabbagetown for the last couple of weeks, so I'm getting neighbor-lagged a lot on my morning walks!
The birth canal of Cabbagetown is such an evocative description. And your description of the tunnel as "an ever-changing canvas of colors, tags, slogans, and murals." It makes us long to visit. That and your painting of this beautiful, connected community.
Thank you for the prompt. I didn't think I had anything for it until I realized that our return to Cabbagetown each year was a ritual of sorts. The tunnel is special. It has also been the home to controversies and protests. And the paint is really thick.
Sounds like a lovely place!
It is!

You're welcome. It is, unfortunately, a unique place. I agree we need more places like Cabbagetown.
I love this! And neighbor-lag may be my new favorite phenomenon.
This helps me see why you guys love Cabbagetown so much. What a wonderful place.
Oh and the music’s great too!
Thanks, Holly!

I'm glad you enjoyed the music!
And hopefully, for the dog’s sake, running into Ros.
Just realized you said pet. Could be a cat. Could be multiple. ;)
Yes, a dog. And we have run into Ros several times. Actually, we get dragged towards Ros.
Perfect. 😜🐾

And that evocative last line!
Thank you for joining in.

Thanks for this. I love the feeling of this kind of “home”. I hope you always go back
You are welcome. I'm in Cabbagetown right now on a house sit. I hope we always go back too!
